It is obvious that we should write a thank you note for a wedding or shower gift, but when is the last time you sent a thank you for a birthday present?
Often we assume that saying “Thank You” right when we are handed a gift is thanks enough.
Yet, if we took the time to mail a thank you for that birthday gift, it is certain to make the gift-giver feel as special as we did when we received the gift!
We might also consider sending a thank you for a favor, a kind act, or a job well done.
Wouldn’t our world be better if we took time to write a thank you note to the clerk at the hardware store who helped us find just what we needed to fix the sink—and saved us money on a plumber?
A thank you note to your co-workers for their assistance with a project strengthens teamwork; a card sent to a client generates business.
A favor thanked is a favor returned. The old adage is true: you get what you give!
Thank You Notes
Today I was shopping in your store and “Gene” helped me find the thing-a-ma-bob that I needed to fix my air conditioner. I thought I would have to call a service out to fix it, but Gene took the time to explain everything. He even jotted down a diagram so I knew how to get the cover off! I followed his instructions and now our house is nice and cool.
I will be sure to shop at Bob’s again.
Thanks!

Thanks for the birthday dinner last night. You always remember how much I love your homemade strawberry shortcake. It gets more delicious every year! How can that be?
Thanks again for everything!
