The Personal Thank You Letter
The personal thank you letter has all
but disappeared from
human communication.
Our lives have become so fast-paced.
We are so busy emailing and texting one another that we rarely take the time to jot down a few sentences of sincere greeting and appreciation.
But there are times when a handwritten thank you note
offers the personal touch that nothing else will.
You needn't shy away from the task either. Writing thank you notes can be fairly easy to do.
You just need to keep a few things in mind as you write. Here are a few tips to keep you on track.

Dear Frank:
It's been said that "A friend in need, is a friend indeed." No words could better describe what your friendship has meant to us over the years.
Marie and I appreciate your taking the kids out to dinner last Thursday, so that we could be with her mom at the hospital.
It's wonderful to have friends like you, who are always there for us when we need you most.
Marie and I want you to know that we cherish your friendship. Should you ever need us in any way, please don't hesitate to call on us.
With warm affection,
Tim and Marie

Dear Mike:
When I opened my mailbox and saw the Stony Brook double
chocolate pecan cookies, I was surprised and delighted. How did you remember that they were my very favorite cookies?
What an awesome treat! I truly enjoyed every one of them. Thank you for thinking of me in such a meaningful way.
You’re the best!
