A Teacher Is...

A teacher is someone who inspires.

She makes you want to learn.

A teacher is someone who applauds.

His praise students want to earn.

A teacher is someone to respect.

Her dedication sets her apart.

A teacher is someone to admire.

He’s compassionate, funny and smart.

A teacher is someone who explains.

She makes things easier to comprehend.

A teacher is someone very special,

Who is a faithful mentor and friend.

Teacher, You’re Number One!

I thought that I would hate your class;

Work only hard enough to pass.

I never was much good at math

I’d always struggled in the past.

But in that first week of school

I saw that you were really cool.

Somehow you made math seem fun.

With me that makes you number one!

You truly put my mind at ease.

And then I started to believe,

That I could do this if I tried.

So all my doubts I brushed aside.

And when I aced that first test

I knew that I was truly blessed,

To have an awesome teacher like you

Who makes math fun, and simple too!
